Sargina Jerome

Social Worker

With over a decade of experience in school-based mental health, Sargina is a licensed social worker who specializes in supporting children, adolescents, and families through trauma-informed, evidence-based therapy. Her practice is rooted in a deep understanding of child development, emotional regulation, and the complex systems that impact young people’s lives.

For ten years, she served as a school social worker, providing individual counseling, group therapy, and crisis intervention for students in grades K–8. She led groups focused on social-emotional learning, mindfulness, and restorative practices, and worked collaboratively with teachers, families, and multi-disciplinary teams to support students through IEPs, 504 Plans, and multi-tiered systems of support. Her approach integrates data-driven assessments with compassionate care to meet the unique needs of each client.

In addition to her school-based work, Sargina served as a program coordinator for a school-based program focused on advocating for students across educational and juvenile justice settings. She has worked with a diverse population and built strong relationships with key stakeholders, including educators, parole officers, and community organizations, to ensure wraparound support for young people and their families.

Now in private practice, she brings this breadth of experience to her clinical work, offering a safe, inclusive, and collaborative space for healing. She supports clients in navigating anxiety, trauma, behavioral challenges, school-related stress, and family dynamics, always centering each individual’s strengths, culture, and voice in the therapeutic process.
